I was hesitant to try this place since I frequented the previous restaurant at the same location years ago, Ws. It is nearly impossible to find a replacement so I decided to give this place a try. We ordered many of the popular recommendations- the calamari and spicy wontons, the spicy fried lobster, braised green beans, beef chow fun, and orange chicken. Complementary garlic noodles were added to the meal. My favorites were the lobster, green beans, and chow fun. The lobster was full of fresh flavor, juicy and meaty, with a light batter fried to the perfect crispness, and scented by the aromatics of green onions, garlic and chilies. The green beans were fresh and gently kissed by the wok which left a slight smokeless to the soy-ginger-garlic flavor. I missed the traditional long Chinese green bean, but the American green bean substitution worked well too. The beef chow fun was well balanced with ingredients and flavor, and I have to mention the delightful smoky flavor created when the chef wok skills are top notch. My least favorites were the appetizers, orange chicken, and the garlic noodles. The garlic noodles lacked flavor and texture because they did not seem fresh and bouncy to the mouth and lacked flavor. The spicy wanton was overcooked. The wanton skins were limp and tasted like it was sitting around for a while. The calamari was good but it was overly breaded, and since it was fried it overwhelmed the calamari so you couldn't taste it at all. Similarly, the orange chicken was soggy and appeared to have been precooked and not freshly made, which ruined the dish. Eating this freshly made would have made a world of difference texturally. The service went well. Everyone looked after our table well and took our orders in a timely manner. They could greatly improve in the timing of bringing out the dishes. Our appetizers came out the same time as the rest of the dishes. If you don't like this either, it is to you advantage to assert your preferences when ordering so that your ordered can be paced to your liking. Finally, based on our experience, I would definitely return and consider this to be a good restaurant.

We went to this wonderful Asian fusion restaurant on Christmas Eve and had a great experience. The restaurant was packed with people celebrating the holidays but the person at the front desk still got us into our booth at the time of our reservation. From there our server did an excellent job taking our order and getting our food to us promptly even though they were very busy. The feeling of the restaurant is comfortable and contemporary with nice booths as well as large tables for bigger groups of people. The accommodations would make it easy to meet friends here for a celebration or gathering. We also enjoyed the food so much!! The chicken lettuce cups had a very tasty sauce. The Mongolian Beef and Pad Thai were highlights as well. We plan on coming back to this lovely restaurant!!

A true successor to W's Chinese Bistro. I've had a hankering for yummy Chinese of the upscale variety and this new Lotus Asian Grill really hit the spot. Go for the Mongolian beef, and the soup dumplings (a rarity in the South Bay). I didn't take any photos, too hungry, too satisfied. Friendly service, punctual delivery of orders, let us lounge a while after our meal. Two thumbs WAY up. I'll be back.

We love this place!! The food & service are EXCELLENT!! It's beautiful & clean & affordable! The happy hour prices are crazy good! 3.00 for a glass of wine...and it's GOOD! My favorite thing was the garden salad with ginger dressing...OMG. Also the soups are DELICIOUS!! The sweet & sour chicken was well received & the staff again...so so nice & it was my moms birthday & they brought out a dessert with a candle without us even asking. I love this place. Just really comfortable. I want that salad again NOW!!

We finally had the opportunity to dine at Lotus Asian Grill for the first time and were genuinely impressed by our overall experience. Upon entering, we were greeted by a spacious and inviting ambiance. The restaurant had an open layout that allowed for comfortable movement and conversation without feeling cramped or crowded. It struck the perfect balance between a relaxed atmosphere and an slightly upscale dining experience, making it one of the more visually appealing Chinese restaurants I've visited. Now, let's talk about the food. We discovered a nice promotion through the Yelp app: a complimentary order of edamame with our check-in. Additionally, spending over $50 garnered us a free bowl of garlic noodles, which was a pleasant bonus. To start, we chose the Crispy Crabmeat Cream Cheese Wontons and edamame. For our main and side courses, we selected the White Fish Fillet in Black Bean Sauce, Orange Crispy Chicken, rice and garlic noodles. The Crispy Crabmeat Cream Cheese Wontons were delicious and had a perfect crunch. The White Fish Fillet in Black Bean Sauce had a slightly sweeter profile than most other Chinese restaurants, but the freshness of the fish was exceptional. The accompanying asparagus and carrots added a unique twist to the dish, and both vegetables were cooked to perfection. The Orange Crispy Chicken, however, posed a bit of a mystery. Initially, the flavor was sharp and sweet, but the texture threw us off. I initially suspected we were served fried fish instead of chicken due to the lack of distinct texture. Interestingly, as the dish cooled, the chicken's texture became more apparent. While it was enjoyable, I'm not sure I would choose it again on our next visit. The garlic noodles were fragrant and rich with the essence of garlic and butter, striking a delightful balance. They had a texture more reminiscent of ramen noodles rather than traditional Chinese noodles, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the flavors were good, and the portion sizes offered great value for the price. While I wouldn't necessarily classify it as the most budget-friendly Chinese restaurant, it's worth noting that true bargains are hard to come by these days. With two of us dining, we ended up with enough leftovers for one and a half additional meals. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Lotus Asian Grill a try. Our first visit exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!

Came here for lunch and they have a great lunch special selection. Each main dish comes with rice salad and hot and sour soup. Their soup was a bit too thick for my liking with too much cornstarch. Each dish was good and flavorful but a bit more Americanized Chinese food style. Prices are reasonable for lunch specials and service was attentive and fast. Inside decor is nice and has a lot of seating and free parking in the back. Good spot for a quick Chinese food fix!

Located on the iconic PCH strip, Lotus delivers an unforgettable dining experience with its exquisite blend of traditional and modern Chinese cuisine. The ambiance is chic yet inviting, perfect for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings. Highlights include their variety of lunch special plate, we got a spicy chicken and kung pao. There are a variety of fresh seafood dishes that I will certainly be back to try. Service is attentive and friendly, ensuring every visit is memorable. Lunch special was great, the portions were appropriate. I will definitely be coming back to try other items in the menu!

My friends and I decided to stop by Lotus for dinner after spending a whole day at the beach. We were very hungry when we arrived and I was so glad that Mike greeted us and sat us down immediately. This restaurant serves authentic chinese-hongkong style cuisine. According to the waiter, the chefs are from Hongkong too. Coming from San Gabriel Valley are, I was very impressed with the quality and taste of food here. The interior was also very modern and nice with a lot of big tables that are perfect for family gatherings. Here is the list of food that we ordered: Shishito Peppers Spicy Steamed Wonton Pork Xiao Long Bao (5pcs) Steamed BBQ Pork Buns (3pcs) Young Chow Fried Rice Singapore Rice Noodles Beef Chow Fun Hong Kong Style Crispy Garlic Lobster Kung Pao Chicken Black Pepper Beef Mignon White Fish Fillet in Black Bean Sauce Crispy Honey Shrimp Spicy Garlic Eggplant I have to say my personal favorites were: Shishito Peppers, Hong Kong Style Crispy Garlic Lobster (must try!), Young Chow Fried Rice, Spicy Garlic Egglant, and Singapore Rice Noodles. There are plenty of parking spaces in the back parking lot. I highly recommend this restaurant when you're looking for a place to eat near redondo beach area.
